Any model of refrigeration system has special temperature sensors. As a rule, such sensors are bimetallic plates, but thermistors can also be used.

The settings of the refrigerator depending on how many circuits are in its system. If the circuit is one, then the setting is immediately for the freezer and refrigerator. If there are two circuits, then you can configure the refrigerator so that you can store food in it, but its freezer does not work. With this setting, there can often be situations when the freezer freezes and the refrigerator does not produce cold, or vice versa, the freezer does not work, but the refrigerator does. Most often, the breakdown lies in the malfunction of one of the refrigerator circuits.

In this case, the following elements may not work:

– Compressor control circuit.

– The thermostat and its sensor, lead not only to an increase in temperature but also to defrosting of products.

– Compressor.

– Refrigerant leakage occurs.

– Failure of the starting relay of the refrigerator.

– If the refrigerator has a No Frost system, the fan may fail. In addition, an ice plug may form in the air circulation channel. In a single-circuit refrigerator, as a rule, two chambers fail at once. This can be caused by the same reasons as the dual-circuit unit.

Quite common models of refrigerators with the No Frost system, which have only one circuit. Despite one circuit, in such models, the chambers can break separately. This is due to the fact that in such a refrigerator there are either two air regulators or two fans.

If the device has a refrigerating chamber from below, then moisture will be drained through the same channel where the air passes. When the drainage is clogged, ice accumulates in the system, and the air comes in icy. An evaporator is built in between the sections, from which two channels go to each chamber: one for air supply and the other for its intake. The fan can be either one in the system or for each circuit its own. Due to the low temperature, the condenser can collect frost. That is why some people believe that refrigerators with No Frost function can dry food. When the refrigerator is defrosted, the condenser heats up with the help of a special spiral until all the moisture evaporates from the system.
